American singer, songwriter and actress Miley Cyrus was born November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee, and became a global sensation as the star of Disney’s Hannah Montana and went on to have a very successful pop music career.
Her father is singer Billy Ray Cyrus. Miley first rose to fame as the star of TV show Hannah Montana (2006-2011), in which she starred as a teen girl who led a double life as a pop star. This made her a teen icon and she went on tour, starred in films and released recordings.
Following Hannah Montana, Miley began her music career. Her earlier albums, such as Breakout (2008), featured pop-rock. In 2013, she released Bangerz, which contained the singles "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball", becoming her first U.S. number-one. She tried various genres, including country and rock. In 2023, she released "Flowers", a worldwide hit, earning her several Grammys, including Record of the Year.
Miley is also famous for her outspoken nature, acting and philanthropy, through the Happy Hippie Foundation.
